My music passion over the past three years has been the jazz that was pioneered by Django Reinhardt. The guitar I play for this style of music (which is often called "Gypsy Jazz") is a 1986 Anastasio petite bouche. It was made in Paris and is based on the original design by Selmer which was what Django played from about 1933. Solid maple neck, sides and back, an arched top made of spruce, a comfortably wide neck and a nice tall action give this instrument an engaging sound that lends itself to swing. I don't leave home without her. She's been referred to as "the Blonde" by some who are close to me.....
